Saying No can change your life

Saying No can change your life

Saying no can give many of us a hard time. But it's super vital to learn and utilize the power of the word NO, to grow.

We fear saying no to protect our relationships. However, when we say yes and prioritize tasks that are irrelevant to us, we harm our performance and ruin relationships in the end.

Saying no helps you establish healthy boundaries and give others clarity on what to expect from you. It also increases your self-esteem, as you are less likely to feel used.

Saying no is also a wonderful gift to offer to the person requesting because you are honest and authentic. If you say yes instead (with no desire to do the task), you wouldn't be able to do justice to the other person's priority.

Here are a few ways you can say no:

  1. That sounds interesting, but I have too much going on.
  2. I'm not comfortable with this.
  3. I would love to, but I have too much on my plate.
  4. I wouldn't be able to commit to this.

Every time we decide to say 'no' to something unimportant, we say 'yes' to something important like our family, growth, peace, & relationships.
