How to boost your productivity

Have you ever felt that your schedule is running you instead of you running it? Here are some productivity tips that will help you to take charge of your day:

  1. Set your weekly intention. Minutes spent planning to save hours on execution. Every Sunday night, decide what your ideal week is going to look like. What are your top 3 goals for the week?
  2. Time Blocking. Once you know how you want to spend your week, schedule it into your calendar. Until it's scheduled, it's not real.
  3. Prioritize. Remember, 80% of your output comes from 20% of your inputs. Start your day with your highest value priorities.
  4. Don't multitask. Research states that multitasking can reduce productivity by up to 40% because you’re never giving your full attention to one thing. So, be present and do what you're doing. Creating content? Create. Eating? Eat.
  5. Learn to say no. Don't take on activities that you're not sure why you're doing. As far as possible, take on things you're 100% committed to.
  6. Protect your time, set boundaries. Whenever you get distracted from what you're doing, it takes around 23 minutes, 15 seconds to regain your focus. So, while you're 'in the zone' - turn off phone notifications, keep your phone away.
  7. Take time to recharge. You cannot do your best work if you're exhausted! Self-care is essential.
