It may sometimes seem that you don't have much in common with your family except for the house and last name you share! We get it. Everyone has their own lives. With work, school, and other social commitments, family bonding often takes a backseat. If you do wish to strengthen your relationship with yours, here is one activity that can help you!

The best part? It takes only 15 minutes. Oh, and you don't have to leave the house.

This activity is called a family quarter.

Essentially, each family member has to answer 2 questions:

  1. What was the best thing about your day today?
  2. What was the one thing you did for another family member today?

In answering these questions, firstly—you get an insight into their lives. You realize what's important to them right now, and may also hit upon some common bonding topics.

Moreover, for question 2, you also have to do one nice thing for a family member everyday. eg: Making coffee for your mom, or picking your brother up from class.

Make sure to have a fixed time for this activity, and each member should speak only for a concise 2-3 minutes ;) eg: 8:00 - 8:15pm.

This tiny 15 minute segment works wonders when done consistently and will definitely bring your family closer!
